Research Area

This research project focuses on the study of stellar endpoints through various observational data, including radio, optical, and high-energy observatories, specifically using data from eROSITA as well as instruments like XMM-Newton and JWST.

Eligibility/Qualification

  • A 5-year Master’s degree in Physics or Astrophysics
  • At least a grade of ‘good’
  • Desirable experience in programming (C, C++, Python, or IDL)
  • Familiarity with imaging radio data analysis is preferred

Description

The successful candidate will engage in:

  • Analyzing current data from various modern observatories
  • Preparing observing proposals for ongoing projects
  • Aiding in the investigation of supernova remnants and potentially discovering new cosmic phenomena

The position is part of the eROSTEP program funded by the German Science Foundation, promoting interdisciplinary research in an international environment.
