Description
The candidate will be part of an interdisciplinary project aimed at developing a clinically compliant wireless platform that navigates and detects lesions using capsules within the gastrointestinal tract. The key responsibilities include:
- Designing and implementing a control framework for clinician-guided navigation.
- Validating the platform in anatomical phantoms and ex vivo tissues.
- Collaborating with clinical partners to improve patient comfort and safety.
Eligibility/Qualification
- Educational Background: A Master’s degree (or equivalent) in Robotics, Mechanical Engineering, Biomedical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Applied Physics, or a closely related field.
- Experimental Skills: Experience in robotics, medical devices, or soft-tissue phantoms. Knowledge of imaging technologies (e.g., X-ray, endoscopy) is an asset.
- Programming Skills: Proficiency in programming languages (Python, MATLAB, C++) and familiarity with robotic frameworks (ROS/ROS2) is beneficial.
- Communication: Excellent written and spoken English skills are essential.
