Eligibility/Qualification
- MSc degree in (semiconductor) physics, materials science, electrical engineering, or related fields.
- Strong affinity for materials physics and machine/physical learning.
- Proficient in Python and/or similar programming languages.
- Enthusiastic and motivated with excellent analytical and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team; international working environment skills are a plus.
Description
This four-year PhD project involves conceptualizing, fabricating, and characterizing effective memristive devices to realize physical learning paradigms. The candidate will work on forming device networks by integrating memristive devices with reconfigurable nonlinear processing units. The focus will be on developing a self-learning chip prototype in collaboration with industry partners like Toyota and Demcon TSST, improving performance and durability in automotive applications.
