Scholarship Description:
The position is part of the Knowledge and Physics Informed Artificial Intelligence (KPAI) program, funded by TKI and ASML Research. The research aims to extract and represent physical laws governing semiconductor manufacturing as PDEs, enhancing ASML’s nanolithography technology through innovative computational techniques.

Eligibility:
We seek a motivated PhD candidate with:

  • A Master’s degree in (applied) mathematics or a related discipline.
  • Proficiency in numerically solving ordinary and partial differential equations.
  • Interest in optimization methods and machine learning.
  • Programming skills in Python, Matlab, C, C++, or similar languages.
  • Strong analytical skills, creativity, and a research-oriented mindset.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in interdisciplinary teams and with industrial partners.
  • Proficiency in spoken and written English.
