Eligibility/Qualification
- MSc degree in (semiconductor) physics, electrical engineering, or a related field with an interest in machine learning.
- Strong analytical and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of an international team.
- Proficiency in Python and PyTorch.

Description
The PhD project is a part of the NWO KIC Smart Materials project, designed to revolutionize computing with adaptive smart materials that integrate memory and learning within their structure. This project aims to reduce energy use and enhance efficiency, demonstrating advances through collaborative prototypes like a fuel-cell management system with industry partners. The role involves developing efficient machine learning procedures for reconfigurable nonlinear processing units (RNPUs) and interacting with memristive materials.
