Eligibility/Qualification
- Completed or soon-to-complete master’s degree in (electro)chemical engineering, materials science, or a related field.
- Enthusiasm for experimental research and an affinity for sustainable solutions and membrane science.
- Experience with electrochemical systems or membrane fabrication is preferred.
- Excellent analytical and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in an interdisciplinary environment.
- Proficient in English.
Job Description
The successful applicant will focus on:
- Developing diaphragms and separators for alkaline electrolysis.
- Ensuring excellent ionic transport, limiting gas crossover, and withstanding harsh conditions (high pH and temperature).
- Participating in the PhD program through the Twente Graduate School, providing opportunities for further education and the possibility to contribute to teaching (e.g., supervising BSc and MSc assignments).
Contract Details:
- Full-time position for four years.
- Salary: Gross monthly salary ranging from €2,901 (first year) to €3,707 (fourth year).
- Additional benefits, including holiday allowance, end-of-year bonus, pension scheme, and minimum 232 leave hours per year.
