Eligibility:

To be eligible for this scholarship, candidates must meet the following requirements:

  • Satisfy the admission requirements for the Ph.D. program.
  • Possess a bachelor’s or master’s degree in a relevant field, such as electrical engineering, computer engineering, optics, photonics, or a related discipline.
  • Demonstrate a keen interest in integrated photonics, RF engineering, machine learning, hardware security, and relevant experience.
  • Prior research experience in electrical engineering, machine learning, photonics, optics, or a related field is highly valued. This can include research projects, internships, publications, or conference presentations that showcase your research experience.
  • Exhibit a strong work ethic, intellectual curiosity, critical thinking, problem-solving skills, self-motivation, effective communication, adaptability, collaboration, time management, and organizational skills.
  • Possess excellent English communication skills, both oral and written.
  • Be highly motivated and capable of planning and conducting research accurately.
  • Have the ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
