Description
Join a highly motivated working group in one of Europe’s largest research establishments. You will engage in:
- Engineering design of plasma facing components (PFC) based on Wf/W.
- Collaboration with internal and external partners to develop PFC, utilizing the spark plasma sintering (SPS) process.
- Conducting microstructural, mechanical analyses, and testing to evaluate the material performance under fusion conditions.
- Participating in project meetings and producing research findings for publication.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct engineering design and testing of PFC.
- Collaborate with project partners and interdisciplinary teams.
- Publish and present findings at conferences.
Requirements:
- Completed Master’s degree in relevant fields.
- Knowledge of material characterization, failure analysis, CAD, and FEM modeling is a plus.
- Strong organizational skills, teamwork capability, and excellent command of English (German proficiency is an advantage).
