  • Key exchange and secure messaging
  • Public-key encryption with advanced functionalities
  • Analyzing real-world cryptographic schemes to improve their theoretical security guarantees
  • Designing new schemes and protocols for practical applications
  • Formalizing new cryptographic primitives and security models
  • Modularizing complex primitives
  • Developing techniques to achieve concrete (and tight) security bounds
  • Designing and analyzing practical instantiations (e.g., based on elliptic curves, lattices, or isogenies)

Eligibility/Qualification

  • Strong academic background in Computer Science, Mathematics, or related fields
  • Prior knowledge in the research areas (desirable but not mandatory)
  • Excellent English proficiency (German language skills are not mandatory but can be helpful for daily life)

Job Description

  • Conduct independent research in the field of cryptography and provable security
  • Contribute to the development of new cryptographic primitives, security models, and practical applications
  • Collaborate with an international team of researchers
  • Publish research findings in top-tier conferences and journals
