Research Area

The PhD projects will explore various aspects of vision foundation models, particularly:

  • Compositional learning strategies to minimize data requirements.
  • Techniques for bias detection and machine unlearning.
  • Development of self-supervised learning frameworks using perceptual and conceptual priors.

Eligibility/Qualification

Candidates must have (or be about to acquire) a master’s degree in:

  • Computer Science
  • Computer Engineering
  • Mathematics with a focus on Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, or Computer Vision

Additional Requirements:

  • Strong background in machine learning, particularly in computer vision.
  • Excellent programming, analytical, and communication skills.
  • Experience in scientific publication is advantageous.
  • Proficiency in English.

Description

The PhD candidates will engage deeply with the research team’s efforts to innovate in the field of data-efficient models for vision. Each candidate will focus on either compositional learning or self-supervised learning, while collaborating on shared methods to reduce biases in training.
