Description

The positions focus on key areas of marine ecology, emphasizing the importance of biodiversity and community dynamics within specific ecosystems. Each role will be tied to different environments:

  1. PhD in Seagrass Community Ecology: Investigation of biodiversity and community ecology of marine species in the largest restored seagrass meadow at the Virginia Coast Reserve LTER.
  2. PhD in Oyster Reef Ecology: Study of population dynamics of oysters on restored reefs at the Virginia Coast Reserve LTER.
  3. PhD in Kelp Forest Community Ecology: Research on biodiversity and ecosystem stability within kelp forests at the Santa Barbara Coastal LTER.

Each candidate will engage in interdisciplinary research that combines fieldwork, modeling, and long-term observations.
