PhD Positions under MSCA: The Graduate School LSE, in collaboration with the EU Marie Skłodowska-Curie Programme (MSCA), is offering 15 PhD positions in the interdisciplinary and intersectoral doctoral training program known as trainLSE. This program, hosted at Technische Universität Darmstadt, focuses on the convergence of engineering and life sciences, allowing doctoral candidates to pioneer a novel approach to constructive engineering in biology.

Eligibility/Qualification:

  • M.Sc. in Life Science or Engineering disciplines.
  • Applicants must not possess a doctoral degree.
  • Proficiency in English.
  • International applicants who have not resided in Germany for more than 12 months in the 36 months before the call deadline.
  • Familiarity with specific research areas as mentioned in the job description.

Job Description: PhD candidates will:

  • Conduct interdisciplinary research at the interface of life sciences and engineering.
  • Participate in EU co-funded PhD positions for 48 months.
  • Undertake research internships in partner institutions globally.
  • Attend national and international conferences.
  • Benefit from training sessions for transferable skills.
  • Become part of a vibrant and diverse international research community.
