Research Area
The successful candidate will work on developing and advancing sustainable technological solutions tailored for waste and wastewater management in Arctic conditions, with a focus on collaboration with international partners and local stakeholders.

Eligibility/Qualification
- A Master’s/PhD degree or equivalent in Environmental Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Environmental Sciences, Biotechnology, Chemistry, or related fields.
- Hands-on experience in wastewater treatment technologies and analysis.
- Proficiency in written and oral English; knowledge of Sami is advantageous.
- Personal suitability and motivation for the position.
Job Description
The candidate’s primary responsibilities will include:
- Reviewing scientific literature on decentralized treatment technologies for sludge and wastewater.
- Designing, conducting, and analyzing lab and pilot-scale experiments.
- Performing advanced statistical analysis and data handling.
- Publishing at least three research papers in internationally indexed journals.
- Collaborating with project partners and local stakeholders.
- Contributing to the supervision of student projects.
