Research Area

The successful candidate will work on developing and advancing sustainable technological solutions tailored for waste and wastewater management in Arctic conditions, with a focus on collaboration with international partners and local stakeholders.

Eligibility/Qualification

  • A Master’s/PhD degree or equivalent in Environmental Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Environmental Sciences, Biotechnology, Chemistry, or related fields.
  • Hands-on experience in wastewater treatment technologies and analysis.
  • Proficiency in written and oral English; knowledge of Sami is advantageous.
  • Personal suitability and motivation for the position.

Job Description

The candidate’s primary responsibilities will include:

  • Reviewing scientific literature on decentralized treatment technologies for sludge and wastewater.
  • Designing, conducting, and analyzing lab and pilot-scale experiments.
  • Performing advanced statistical analysis and data handling.
  • Publishing at least three research papers in internationally indexed journals.
  • Collaborating with project partners and local stakeholders.
  • Contributing to the supervision of student projects.
