Scholarship Description: The research focuses on developing 700-kV nanosecond pulse sources with arbitrary output waveforms for a 2-m diameter discharge vessel. The project aims to create a 0.7-MV prototype using circuit simulations, sub-system-prototype development, and 3D electromagnetic simulations.
Eligibility:
- For the PhD position: Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering with specialization in pulsed power, high-voltage engineering, and/or power electronics.
- For the Postdoc position: PhD degree in Electrical Engineering with specialization in pulsed power, high-voltage engineering, and/or power electronics. Experience with solid-state pulsed power systems and 3D-EM simulations preferred.
