Scholarship Description:

Research Engineer Position in GECKO Horizon Europe MSCA Project

As a part of the Horizon Europe MSCA project GECKO, you will contribute to improving the connection between CAD and computational models within the industrial workflow. Your work will involve implementing IGA in acoustic Boundary Element Method (BEM) analysis and integrating model order reduction (MOR) strategies. The goal is to develop efficient acoustic shape optimization strategies and accelerate the eigenvalue analysis of parametrized structures. You’ll be part of an international consortium and work on cutting-edge research in geometric representations for acoustic analysis.

Eligibility: To be eligible for this research engineer position, you should have the following qualifications:

  • A recent master’s degree in engineering, physics, or mathematics, obtained within the last four years, with above-average performance.
  • Proficiency in written and spoken English.
  • Limited residence or main activities in Belgium for more than 12 months in the last three years.
  • Basic knowledge of IGA, acoustics, Finite Element Method (FEM), Boundary Element Method (BEM), or a strong interest in these subjects.

Required Documents: When applying for this position, you need to provide the following documents:

  • Curriculum Vitae (CV)
  • Academic transcripts
  • Contact information for further communication

How to Apply: To apply for this research engineer position, please use the online application tool available on the KU Leuven website.

Last Date: The application deadline for this position is October 27, 2023. Don’t miss the chance to join the GECKO project and contribute to cutting-edge research in geometric representations for acoustic analysis. Apply now!
