Join the Dhiman Lab at the University of Mainz for a PhD position in the cutting-edge field of artificial cells and organelles. This position focuses on synthesizing coacervates and understanding their formation through chemical reaction networks. Gain international visibility and hands-on experience in a dynamic, collaborative environment with state-of-the-art facilities.
Summary Table:
Position | PhD Researcher in Artificial Cells and Organelles |
---|---|
Location | University of Mainz, Germany |
Field | Supramolecular Chemistry, Artificial Cells, Chemical Reaction Networks |
Duration | 3 years |
Salary | German Salary Scheme 0.5 EG13 |
Application Deadline | 30th October 2024 |
Study Area:
This PhD position focuses on the synthesis and characterization of coacervates as minimalist models to explore the formation, interaction, and communication of artificial lifelike systems. The project includes organic molecule synthesis, and the use of chemical reaction networks (CRNs) to program the formation and decay of coacervates, which are then characterized using spectroscopy and super-resolution microscopy.
