PhD Researchers – Genotype-Development: CropXR, an interdisciplinary research institute with a budget of 96 million Euros, is inviting applications for three 5-year 0.8 fte PhD positions in the field of ‘Genotype-specific development of potato plants under combined stress factors.’ The positions are part of CropXR’s ambitious mission to develop eXtra Resilient (XR), sustainable, and climate-adaptive crops.

Eligibility/Qualification:
- MSc degree in plant sciences, crop science, or a related field.
- Experience programming for image analysis (PhD 1), physiological modeling linked to genetics (PhD 2), or analyzing and modeling of quality traits (PhD 3).
- Excellent English language proficiency (CEFR C2 level or more).
- Strong collaborative skills.
Job Description:
PhD Researchers – Genotype-specific Development of Potato Plants under Combined Stress Factors
- Execute experimental field trials.
- Analyze and interpret data relevant to the goal of the PhD position, contributing to the development of resilient potato crops.
- Communicate with experimental research scientists and data and modeling scientists within and beyond CropXR.
- Contribute to the education of BSc and MSc students working on the project.

Salary:
