Eligibility/Qualification
- A first-class or upper second-class undergraduate degree in Chemical Engineering/Chemistry or equivalent qualification at Master’s level.
- Experience in experimental investigation on recycling technologies or computational modeling is advantageous.
Description
The project focuses on addressing one of the most pressing challenges in the sustainable application of PHA-based composite materials, particularly their low recycling rates. The research includes:
- Overview of PHA-based 3D/4D printing composites and their varied applications.
- Identification of challenges in achieving a sustainable 3D/4D printing industry.
- Comparison of existing recycling/upcycling methods for PHA composites.
- Development of innovative experimental and modeling approaches to enhance recycling/upcycling efforts.
This innovative PhD project invites students who are creative and motivated to tackle engineering problems through scientific principles.
