Job Description
The PhD project aims to evaluate novel copper-chelating ligands synthesized at LCC for their therapeutic potential against Alzheimer’s disease.
Key responsibilities include:
- In vitro evaluation of copper-ligand interactions with Aβ peptides
- Cell-based studies to analyze:
- Cellular uptake of ligands
- Copper redistribution
- Cell viability and inflammatory markers
- Investigation of oxidative stress and ROS production
- Monitoring ligands in living cells using time-resolved confocal microscopy
- Working in a multidisciplinary environment across chemistry, biology, and neuroscience
