Eligibility/Qualification:

  • Applicants must have a UK Bachelor’s degree with at least a 2:1 in a relevant subject (e.g., Public Health, Nutrition, Health Sciences) or an overseas equivalent.
  • A UK Master’s degree in a relevant subject or overseas equivalent is required.
  • International applicants are welcome but must demonstrate funding for the fee difference.
  • English language proficiency (IELTS 7.0 or equivalent) is required.

Job Description:
The PhD will involve the following phases:

  • Phase 1: Systematic review of social cooking initiatives in places of worship.
  • Phase 2: Co-production of a cooking intervention through qualitative research with stakeholders.
  • Phase 3: Feasibility and acceptability testing of the intervention in community settings.
    The successful candidate will receive training in research methodologies and community engagement and will work with a team of experts in public health and intervention development.
