Eligibility/Qualification

  • Passion for biological mechanisms, membrane biophysics, and mathematical modeling, particularly Helfrich curvature elasticity theory.
  • Strong programming skills in Python or C++.
  • Interest in molecular dynamics simulations; prior experience is advantageous (especially with enhanced sampling or GROMACS knowledge).
  • Experience in finite element computational modeling is a plus.

Job Description

Key Responsibilities
Leverage unique toolkit to extract membrane properties from molecular dynamics simulations and predict remodeling.
Develop and optimize a mitochondria-targeted drug platform focusing on endosomal escape using advanced simulations.
Explore mitochondrial morphology and membrane remodeling proteins’ influence on ultrastructure.
Test hypotheses with synthesized compounds, cryoelectron microscopy, and fluorescence imaging through collaborations.
