🧪 Job Description
The selected PhD candidate will work on the development of novel modular phased array antenna concepts using AI-based modeling and optimization techniques. The research will focus on solving large-scale tiling problems for irregular antenna layouts while meeting strict communication and sensing constraints.
Key responsibilities include:
- Developing AI-driven electromagnetic performance prediction models
- Designing scalable and energy-efficient phased array layouts
- Optimizing irregular modular antenna configurations
- Validating methodologies through:
- Full-wave electromagnetic simulations
- Prototyping and experimental measurements
- Working closely with IETR’s advanced platforms:
- NanoRennes (nR) – Microfabrication
- M²ARS – Antenna measurement, manufacturing, and prototyping
Duration: 36 months (3 years)
