Description
The PhD position involves developing and evaluating machine learning models to analyze and interpret ecological data on large carnivores, such as wolverines, wolves, and bears. The candidate will work with a rich dataset collected over more than a decade, focusing on:
- Developing machine learning approaches to identify and quantify cryptic mortality in wildlife populations.
- Collaborating with ecologists, data scientists, and wildlife management agencies to integrate and analyze various data types.
- Disseminating research findings through publications and conferences.
