Eligibility/Qualification
- A Master’s degree or an equivalent education inclusive of at least 240 credits, with 60 credits at the second-cycle level.
- A minimum of 120 credits in physics or a relevant area.
- Strong interest in physics, particularly optics, and foundational knowledge in material science.
Description
As a PhD candidate, you will:
- Conduct theoretical studies and optimize light guidance in hollow-core fibers.
- Characterize fabricated HCFs regarding their structural and optical transmission properties.
- Engage in experimental investigations of ultra-thin silica membranes.
This position is part of a consortium project with notable partners, including research institutes and telecommunications companies.
