Job Description:
The successful candidate will conduct advanced research in the field of Archaeology & Palaeoecology, focusing on the investigation of chemical and thermal treatment methods to enhance the accuracy of radiocarbon dating for museum artefacts. The research will involve analyzing the effectiveness of existing pretreatment methods, as well as exploring the potential of novel thermal decomposition and isotope methods. Additionally, the candidate will collaborate with national heritage bodies to identify suitable long-treated museum artefacts and evaluate the effectiveness of treatment methods in real archaeological contexts.
