Eligibility/Qualification:
To be eligible for third-cycle studies, applicants must meet both general and specific entry requirements:
- General Entry Requirements:
- Hold a second-cycle qualification or equivalent.
- Have completed at least 240 credits, with 60 credits at the second-cycle level, or equivalent.
- Specific Entry Requirements:
- Hold a second-cycle degree in relevant subject areas in natural sciences.
- Have completed at least 60 higher education credits at the second-cycle level in relevant subject areas.
- Demonstrate proficiency in English (minimum TOEFL score of 550).
Description:
The selected PhD student will work on a project focusing on observing conformational changes in single biological molecules using advanced imaging techniques. Duties include processing X-ray diffraction data, analyzing time-resolved X-ray scattering data, and performing molecular dynamics simulations. The student will also assist in experimental work and contribute to teaching activities within the department.
