Eligibility/Qualification
Prospective candidates should hold a strong academic background in bioinformatics or a related field. The recruited PhD student must adhere to the MSCA Mobility Rule, which stipulates that they should not have resided or carried out their main activity in the Czech Republic for more than 12 months in the 3 years immediately before their recruitment date. Students from Czech universities are not eligible for this position.
Job Description
The selected candidate will be involved in assembling a training dataset and designing deep learning models for predicting enzyme substrates, products, and reaction mechanisms directly from the amino acid sequences of terpene synthases. The project aims to harness the biosynthetic potential of plant specialized metabolism for the development of new medicines.
