Eligibility/Qualification
- Completed Master’s degree in chemistry (preferably with a focus on organic or inorganic chemistry).
- Strong interest in homogeneous catalysis; previous experience is advantageous but not necessary.
- Desirable experience in:
- Synthesis of air-sensitive compounds
- (De)polymerisation catalysis
- Reaction kinetics
- Familiarity with analytical techniques such as NMR, GPC/HPLC, and TGA.
- Excellent written and spoken English skills.
- Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively within a diverse, interdisciplinary team.
Job Description
- Develop processes for the chemical recycling of various commercial polymers.
- Engage in catalyst design, recycling process development, and mechanistic studies.
- Collaborate on projects aimed at developing novel polymers from sustainable feedstocks.
- Write a doctoral thesis relevant to the research focus.
- Independently teach courses and supervise students in the institute.
- Participate in administrative tasks and evaluation measures.
