Eligibility/Qualification:
- BSc or MSc in Biology, Biomedicine, Microbiology, Biotechnology, or related disciplines.
- Excellent academic record (>=8/10 GPA for Spanish students).
- Minimum 1 year of experience in a wet lab.
- Experience in yeast/eukaryotic microorganisms, computer programming (Python, R, Matlab, or FiJi), SMLM, particle tracking, or cryo-EM/cryo-ET is desirable but not mandatory.
Job Description:
- Develop advanced imaging pipelines for quantitative measurements in non-conventional yeast species.
- Implement advanced imaging tools to explore cellular adaptation in the cryosphere.
- Contribute to culturing and gene-editing approaches for structural cell biology studies in unexplored fungi species.
- Analyze microscopy data to uncover the physical principles of cellular adaptation to environmental changes.
- Collaborate with an international research team at PRBB and the Biofisika Institute, Spain.
