Eligibility/Qualification:
- MSc degree in Biology, Microbiology, Bioinformatics, or a related field
- Programming experience with languages such as Python and/or R
- Documented experience in bioinformatics analyses
- Strong interest in evolution, genomics, and microbiology
- Proficiency in English at C1 level
Job Description:
- Implement state-of-the-art bioinformatics tools to analyze the evolutionary histories of eukaryotic proteins
- Interpret large-scale evolutionary analyses within the context of eukaryotic cellular complexity and diversity
- Contribute to teaching and supervising BSc and MSc thesis students
- Work in a stimulating environment at the forefront of evolutionary research under the guidance of Dr. Jolien van Hooff
