  • Strong interest in evolutionary biology and gene regulation.
  • Prior research experience in a relevant field is highly desirable.

Job Description:
Successful candidates will join the GenEvo network, working closely with leading scientists from IMB and Mainz University. PhD projects will cover a diverse array of topics including:

  • Inheritance of epigenetic information via small RNA molecules.
  • Gene regulation and evolution in bees.
  • Genetic regulation of fecundity in the Colorado Potato Beetle.
  • Epigenetic adaptation and sex determination mechanisms.
  • Evolution of circadian gene regulation and more.

Candidates will have the opportunity to select up to five projects of interest during the application process.
