Eligibility / Qualification
Applicants should meet the following criteria:
Essential Qualifications:
- Master’s degree (MSc) in Statistics, Computer Science, Bioinformatics, or a closely related field
- Strong foundation in statistics and commonly used machine learning methods
- Proficiency in R and/or Python
- Good written and verbal communication skills in English
Additional Assets (Desirable but Not Mandatory):
- Experience with UNIX/Linux command-line tools
- Familiarity with high-performance computing (HPC) and/or cloud platforms (AWS, Google Cloud)
- Experience analyzing health, genomic, or biological datasets
Job Description
The selected PhD candidate will:
- Apply, implement, and further develop statistical, machine learning, and AI methods
- Analyze large-scale genomic, multi-omics, and health record data
- Contribute to research aimed at improving disease risk prediction
- Work in an interdisciplinary research team
