Eligibility/Qualification:

  • Master’s degree (preferably) in Physics, (Bio-)Engineering, Geology, or equivalent

  • Basic programming skills in Python/Matlab or another programming language
  • Strong analytical and critical thinking skills
  • Excellent academic track record and command of English language
  • Team player with strong scientific and interpersonal communication skills

Description: As a PhD student within the FLOWSCOPY project, you will delve into the complexities of fluid flows in porous materials. Utilizing novel 3D X-ray imaging techniques, you will design and perform experiments to investigate two-phase and viscoelastic flow phenomena. Your research will contribute to better understanding groundwater flows, environmental processes, and subsurface storage mechanisms. The position offers a full-time doctoral fellowship with opportunities for extension, starting from September 1, 2024.
