PhD Scholarship in Immune Regulation: The Institute of Molecular Immunology at the Technical University of Munich (TUM) is offering two PhD positions in the field of immune regulation in autoimmune liver diseases (ALD). The selected candidates will work on DFG-funded projects investigating T-cell mediated induction of cell death in hepatocytes.

Eligibility/Qualification:
- University degree in natural or life sciences
- Hands-on experience with human or murine primary cells, cell culture, and flow cytometry preferred
- Expertise in immunology and experience working with mice is advantageous
- Strong teamwork and communication skills
Job Description:
- Investigate CD8 T cell-mediated damage in ALD and the role of TCR-independent activation pathways
- Study the effects of viral infections and liver-specific environmental factors on hepatocyte susceptibility to auto-reactive CD8 T cells
- Utilize advanced techniques such as multi-parametric flow cytometry, high-dimensional cytotoxicity assays, (phospho-)proteomics, MALDI-imaging, and preclinical mouse models of hepatic infections
- Collaborate within the interdisciplinary and dynamic research environment of TUM
