Eligibility/Qualification
Required:
- Degree in Biology or Biotechnology with a completed Master’s degree
- Highly motivated, curious, and well-organized
Additional Valued Criteria:
- Experience with molecular biology tools (e.g., real-time PCR, fluorescent microscopy, RNAi)
- Experience in bioinformatics and transcriptomic data analysis
- Fluency in English
Job Description
The selected candidate will:
- Develop and conduct a PhD project on piRNA regulation in insect oogenesis
- Perform wet lab research (molecular biology tools, microscopy, RNAi, PCR, etc.)
- Participate in bioinformatics analysis of transcriptomic libraries
- Receive advanced training in diverse molecular and computational methodologies
- Contribute to research aimed at designing piRNA-based, species-specific insecticides
