Eligibility/Qualification

Required:

  • Degree in Biology or Biotechnology with a completed Master’s degree
  • Highly motivated, curious, and well-organized

Additional Valued Criteria:

  • Experience with molecular biology tools (e.g., real-time PCR, fluorescent microscopy, RNAi)
  • Experience in bioinformatics and transcriptomic data analysis
  • Fluency in English

Job Description

The selected candidate will:

  • Develop and conduct a PhD project on piRNA regulation in insect oogenesis
  • Perform wet lab research (molecular biology tools, microscopy, RNAi, PCR, etc.)
  • Participate in bioinformatics analysis of transcriptomic libraries
  • Receive advanced training in diverse molecular and computational methodologies
  • Contribute to research aimed at designing piRNA-based, species-specific insecticides
