Eligibility/Qualification
- A two-year master’s degree (120 ECTS points) or an equivalent academic level.
- Hands-on experience in synthetic biology and genetic engineering is mandatory.
- Knowledge of cell metabolism and physiology, particularly in environmental bacteria.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills in English.
Job Description
The PhD candidate will:
- Conduct genetic engineering of bacteria and characterize engineered strains.
- Supervise Bachelor and Master students.
- Collaborate with colleagues and project partners.
- Communicate research findings at international conferences and publish in high-impact scientific journals.
Key Responsibilities
- Genetic engineering of Pseudomonas putida.
- Phenotypic characterization of engineered strains.
- Advise and manage student projects.
- Engage in project management and coordination activities.
