Eligibility/Qualifications:

  • MSc in Life Sciences (e.g., Biochemistry, Biotechnology, Molecular Biology)
  • Proficient in molecular engineering and synthetic biology of eukaryotic microalgae
  • Experience in metabolic pathway analysis, genetic manipulation, and bioreactor systems
  • Familiarity with molecular biology techniques (gene cloning, CRISPR, DNA assembly)
  • Strong problem-solving skills, communication abilities, and English proficiency at C1 level

Job Description:
As a PhD candidate, you will:

  • Design and conduct experiments to enhance lipid production in microalgae
  • Engineer metabolic pathways to optimize lipid biosynthesis
  • Utilize synthetic biology techniques to modify microalgal strains
  • Operate bioreactors and analyze data for project advancement
  • Prepare technical reports, publications, and presentations
