Research Area

The research will focus on the analysis of microbial compositions using culture-dependent and culture-independent techniques, specifically investigating breast inflammation and mastitis among lactating women in Norway.

Eligibility/Qualification

Required Criteria:

  • Master’s degree in Microbiology (must be completed before the position commencement).
  • Fluency in English (with relevant documentation).
  • Ability to work in an international environment.

Desirable Criteria:

  • Experience or skills in bioinformatic and statistical analysis.
  • Knowledge of Norwegian or a Scandinavian language.

Description

The selected candidate will conduct analyses on microbial samples collected from breastfeeding mothers, focusing on the changes observed during mastitis episodes. The project intends to enhance understanding of the causes and progression of mastitis using a combination of microbiological techniques and bioinformatics.
