Description
The PhD project will explore the development of narrow bandgap perovskites that are highly emissive and stable for tandem photovoltaics. Candidates will engage in multidisciplinary research across materials science, physics, chemistry, and engineering. The focus may include:
- Optimization of semiconductor films for perovskite absorber layers.
- Development and characterization of nanocrystals, single crystals, or polycrystalline thin films.
The fully funded studentship covers home tuition fees and a stipend of £20,622/year for living costs, with inflation increases and additional support for travel and consumables. Although fees are only covered at the home rate, overseas candidates are welcome to apply provided they can fund the difference.
