Essential Qualifications– M.Sc. degree in Chemistry, Biology, Biomedical Sciences, Pharmacy, or a related field
– Proficient in written and spoken English (TOEFL required)
– Enthusiastic about interdisciplinary research
– Good communication skills
Preferred Qualifications– Experience in nanoparticle characterization, proteomics, flow cytometry, or fluorescence microscopy
– Knowledge of in vitro cell culture systems and nanomedicine research

Description

The PhD position is part of the NWA ORC project NanoMedNL, aiming to unify stakeholders in nanomedicine to foster the development of innovative therapies. The successful candidate will work under the supervision of Associate Prof. Dr. Anna Salvati within the Groningen Research Institute of Pharmacy (GRIP). The research will focus on:

  • Characterizing nanomedicine dispersion in biological fluids.
  • Studying the interactions of nanomedicines with cells, including uptake, intracellular trafficking, and endosomal escape.
