Designation: PhD Student in Operando X-Ray Analysis of Next-Generation Batteries
Research Area: Energy storage devices, operando X-ray analysis, battery cycling processes, Prussian blue analogue (PBA)-based sustainable aqueous batteries, lithium-ion and sodium-ion batteries.
Location: Uppsala, Sweden
Eligibility/Qualification:
- Hold a second-cycle qualification or have completed at least 240 higher education credits, with a minimum of 60 credits at Master’s level.
- Proficient in English (oral and written).
- Must not have resided in Sweden for more than 12 months during the period 2021-08-30 to 2024-08-31 for work or studies as the main occupation.
- Second-cycle education in a relevant field such as computational chemistry, physical chemistry, physics, or material science.
- Not already in possession of a doctoral degree.
Job Description:
- Conduct research studies within the project and participate in PhD courses.
- Perform operando X-ray diffraction and X-ray absorption spectroscopy on various batteries during electrochemical cycling.
- Develop python-based analysis pipelines for correlating data from XAS-XRD measurements.
- Collaborate with national and international partners, attend conferences and training schools.
