Eligibility/Qualification

Candidates for this PhD scholarship must meet the following qualifications:

  • A Master’s degree (or an equivalent qualification) in a relevant engineering or science discipline, such as Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Wind Energy Engineering, Applied Mathematics, Computer Science, or a related field.
  • A strong academic record, demonstrating excellence in coursework and thesis work.
  • Proficiency in programming languages (e.g., Python, MATLAB) and experience with data analysis, numerical methods, and/or machine learning frameworks.
  • Knowledge of wind energy systems, structural mechanics, fluid dynamics, or control systems is an advantage.
  • Excellent English communication skills, both written and oral.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative research team.

Scholarship Description

This is a 3-year fully funded PhD scholarship providing a competitive salary and benefits in accordance with the collective agreement for PhD students at Danish universities. The successful candidate will join the esteemed DTU Wind and Energy Systems department, renowned for its cutting-edge research in wind energy. The PhD project will involve:

  • Conducting original research leading to a PhD thesis.
  • Publishing findings in top-tier international journals and presenting at conferences.
  • Participating in relevant PhD courses and workshops.
