PhD Scholarship in Numerical Modelling: The Technical University of Denmark (DTU) invites applications for a PhD scholarship focused on the numerical modeling of coastal processes, particularly in light of climate change and microplastic pollution. This project is part of the SHORE initiative, which aims to develop innovative models to understand and mitigate coastal erosion and its associated issues.

Job Description
The PhD project will focus on developing numerical models to simulate hydrodynamic processes in coastal regions, specifically addressing sediment and microplastic transport. Responsibilities include:
- Developing novel models for wave heights and velocities.
- Disseminating research findings through journal publications and presentations at international conferences.
- Releasing developed models as open-source software.
- Participating in MSc and PhD courses and co-supervising MSc projects.
- Collaborating with a team of researchers and external partners.
How to Apply
Interested candidates should submit a complete application consisting of:
- A motivation letter (cover letter)
- Curriculum vitae
- Grade transcripts and BSc/MSc diploma (in English) including the official grading scale description
- Letters of recommendation or contact information for references
- One piece of academic writing (e.g., MSc thesis, journal paper, or conference paper)
Applications must be submitted as one PDF file through the DTU online application system.
Last Date for Apply
The application deadline is December 1, 2024 (23:59 Danish time).
