Eligibility/Qualification
- A two-year master’s degree (120 ECTS) or similar, in experimental Biology, Biochemistry, Biophysics, Biotechnology, or related fields.
- Practical laboratory experience with biophysical characterization of proteins or protein phase separation as part of an MSc thesis.
- Interest in quantitative study of biomolecular systems in vitro.
Description
The PhD student will work under the supervision of Asst. Prof. Soumik Ray to contribute to the establishment and application of dynamic in vitro experimental frameworks aimed at investigating the relationship between protein phase separation and aggregation linked to neurodegenerative diseases. Responsibilities include assisting related research projects, supervising BSc and MSc students, overseeing research equipment, and conducting experimental design, data analysis, and writing scientific articles.
