PhD Scholarship in Sodium-Metal Batteries with Solid Electrolytes
As a PhD student at GER, you will engage in fundamental and application-driven projects, contributing significantly to the research community. The lab offers outstanding support and guidance to foster your development as an independent researcher. You will gain experimental and modeling experience, building a comprehensive research portfolio. Collaboration opportunities extend to world-class research groups at Humboldt-Universitat zu Berlin, Helm-holtz Zentrum Berlin, and beyond, along with industrial partners. The position includes a competitive salary (TV-L E13, 2/3 position) for at least 3.5 years.
Eligibility:
- Solid background in engineering, chemistry, and/or materials science.
- Strong interest and aptitude in building experimental setups.
- Excellent communication skills in English (written and spoken).
- Knowledge of German is an advantage.
- Priority given to candidates with experience in battery research.
- Expertise in interfacial thermodynamics and coating technologies is welcome.
