PhD Scholarship in Development of Operation Strategies for Mitigating the Degradation of Solid Oxide Cells (SOC) at DTU Energy

Research Area: Development of Operation Strategies for Mitigating SOC Degradation

Location: Kgs. Lyngby, Denmark

Eligibility/Qualification:

  • A two-year master’s degree (120 ECTS points) or equivalent academic level
  • Background in materials science, chemistry, or related fields
  • Experience in fuel cells, electrolysis, electronics, materials characterization, or electrochemistry
  • Strong communication skills in English
  • Ability to work independently and in interdisciplinary teams

Job Description:
As a PhD student at DTU Energy, you will:

  • Conduct advanced electrochemical characterization of SOC under various operating conditions
  • Analyze the effects of operation parameters on cell durability
  • Collaborate with a team on electrochemical and microstructural characterization of SOCs
  • Follow courses, assist in teaching activities, and publish research in international journals and conferences
