Research Area

The position is located at the Department of Medical Biochemistry and Biophysics at Umeå University, Sweden.

Eligibility/Qualification

  • A university degree equivalent to a European University Master’s degree or completion of at least 240 credit points, with a minimum of 60 credit points at the second-cycle level.
  • Proficiency in spoken and written English.
  • Background in Biophysics, Biochemistry, Molecular Biology, or Biology.
  • Experience in experimental molecular biology, cell biology, computational work, and programming is advantageous.

Description

The successful candidate will engage in cutting-edge research using techniques such as cryo-electron tomography and biochemical reconstitution to investigate how positive-sense RNA viruses replicate.
