Eligibility/Qualification
- Master’s degree (or near completion) in biomechanics, movement sciences, sports sciences, biomedical engineering, biomedical sciences, or related fields.
- Strong interest in musculoskeletal biomechanics and tendon research.
- Experience in research methodology and quantitative data analysis.
- Excellent communication and scientific writing skills in English.
Preferred Experience:
- Ultrasound imaging
- Biomechanics experimentation
- Tendon biology or histology analysis
- Laboratory techniques related to tissue characterization
- Signal or image processing
- Programming (e.g., MATLAB, Python)
- Statistics and data analysis
Job Description
The PhD candidate will:
- Conduct research on the mechanical specialization of tendons.
- Utilize in vivo ultrasound imaging, ex vivo biological experimentation, and advanced tendon analysis techniques.
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of researchers and clinicians.
- Gain training in advanced experimental and analytical methods, and have opportunities to present research at international conferences and publish in leading journals.
