Summary

Job Description
The selected candidate will work on a cutting-edge project titled:
“Evaluation of New Traceable Copper Ligands as a Therapeutic Approach to Alzheimer’s Disease.”
Key responsibilities include:
- Testing novel copper-binding ligands (L) developed at LCC
- Studying their ability to:
- Remove copper from Cu-Aβ complexes
- Reduce reactive oxygen species (ROS) production
- Prevent toxic amyloid aggregation
- Conducting:
- In vitro experiments (test tube studies)
- Cell-based studies using model cell lines
- Investigating:
- Cellular uptake of ligands
- Copper distribution in cells
- Effects on cell viability and inflammation markers
- Using advanced techniques such as:
- Time-resolved confocal microscopy
- Collaborating across two research institutes under expert supervision
