Eligibility / Qualification

General Eligibility Requirements:

  • Master’s degree or equivalent qualifications in a relevant discipline.
  • Proficiency in English equivalent to English B/English 6 at Swedish upper secondary school.

Specific Eligibility Requirements:

  • At least one year of studies at master’s level in toxicology or relevant discipline.
  • Familiarity with in vitro and in vivo toxicity test methods and health risk assessment.

Desired Skills and Personal Qualities

  • Basic understanding of endocrine disruption and Adverse Outcome Pathway (AOP) methodology.
  • Practical experience in evaluating different types of toxicological data.
  • Strong motivation, organization skills, and ability to work independently as well as part of a team.

Description

This research project aims to explore methodologies for identifying and assessing chemicals that act as endocrine disruptors. The candidate will work on experimental and computational analyses using the Zebrafish model and contribute to the development and evaluation of AOP networks. The PhD student will also participate in training programs, engage in limited teaching activities, and undertake research stays at partner institutions.
